Product of the Month: Felt Filter Media

Our Felt filter media, often referred to as “Filter Fleece” in the industry, are high-loft filter media engineered to deliver excellent dirt-holding capacity and long service life in demanding grinding applications. Its structure is designed to capture larger particles on the surface while allowing smaller particles to be retained deep within the web, maximizing filtration efficiency without sacrificing flow.

The fibers are mechanically entwined before heat bonding creates a strong, uniform web. This process results in a durable, high-strength media with reliable performance and good chemical resistance across a range of coolant filtration environments.

Felts Filter Media

Well suited for coolants used in grinding operations, Felt performs best in applications targeting particulate larger than approximately 20–25 microns. Available in various weights and sizes, it can be tailored to meet specific process requirements. Heavier weights, typically greater than 8 oz, are commonly used in filter bag applications.
